The Old Ship
Handcrafted sourdough, flaky pastries, and a carefully curated grocery selection — rooted in the rhythm of the neighborhood.
At The Old Ship, baking is not rushed. Our sourdough ferments slowly — 24 to 48 hours — developing the deep, complex flavors and open crumb structure that quick methods simply cannot replicate.
We source locally milled flour, filter our water, and let time do the work. The result is bread with character: a crackling crust, a tender interior, and a flavor that lingers.

The Old Ship Bakery & Grocery has been a quiet fixture in Minneapolis — a place where the morning rush smells like brown butter and fermented grain, where regulars know the baker by name, and where every purchase feels like a small act of care.
We opened our doors with a simple conviction: that good food doesn't need to be complicated, that community is built at the counter, and that the best things — bread, coffee, connection — take time.
Baked fresh daily — no shortcuts, no preservatives
